On January 18th, 2025, Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), exchanged congratulatory letters with Le Hoai Trung, Member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and Head of the Commission for External Relations of the CPV Central Committee, warmly celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam.
Liu noted, since the establishment of diplomatic relations 75 years ago, with the planning and guidance of the top leaders of the two Parties, the relations between the CPC and the CPV as well as between the two countries have maintained good development momentum. The two sides have joined hands and advanced together through thick and thin in exploring the path of socialism that suits respective national conditions and the path of modernization with distinct features. Both sides have pooled efforts to seek common development and jointly demonstrated the bright prospects of the socialist cause. Since the new era began, the top leaders of the two Parties have carried out three rounds of mutual visits. Political mutual trust between the two sides has been continuously consolidated, practical cooperation has been deepened, and the traditional friendship has been further developed. The relations between the two Parties and the two countries have entered a new stage of building a China-Vietnam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance.
Liu stated, in recent years, the external affairs departments of the two Parties have completed a series of important agendas for inter-party exchanges. The IDCPC is willing to work with the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two Parties. The IDCPC will make unremitting efforts and actively contribute to deepening China-Vietnam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance and the development of the socialist cause of the two countries.
Le Hoai Trung said, over the past 75 years, the CPV and the CPC, the two countries and the two peoples have provided each other with enormous and valuable support and assistance, and jointly promoted the success of the national liberation and socialist construction in respective countries. Under the wise leadership and direct guidance of the leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, Vietnam-China relations, especially inter-party relations, have been continuously consolidated and developed, bringing benefits to the two peoples and actively contributing to peace, stability and development in the region and the world at large.
Le Hoai Trung said, as the strategic advisory departments for foreign affairs of the two Parties, the two departments have maintained close communication and cooperation over a long period. We have successfully organized a number of major inter-party exchange agendas, actively contributing to the building of a Vietnam-China community with a shared future that carries strategic significance. The CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations is willing to cooperate wholeheartedly with the IDCPC, implement the consensus reached by leaders of both sides, enhance political mutual trust, and promote Vietnam-China relations for comprehensive and effective development in the long run.
