Beijing, February 18th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Pham Thanh Binh, Vietnamese Ambassador to China.
Liu welcomed Pham Thanh Binh on his assumption of the new post in China. He said, under the strategic guidance and personal promotion of the top leaders of the two Parties and countries, China-Vietnam relations have enjoyed strong development. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Vietnamese side to implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two Parties, further strengthen high-level exchanges, enhance institutionalized exchanges and cooperation, and continuously promote the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance.
Pham Thanh Binh said he was honored to serve as Vietnamese Ambassador to China and felt a great sense of responsibility. The key to the continuous breakthroughs in Vietnam-China relations in recent years lies in the strategic guidance of the top leaders of the two Parties. The Vietnamese side is willing to, together with the Chinese side, strengthen high-level exchanges, deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two Parties, and promote Vietnam-China relations for steady development in the long run.
