Beijing, February 27th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a delegation led by Vlad Batrincea, Vice-Chairman of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and Member of the Political Executive Committee of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM).   

Liu said, China and Moldova are friendly cooperative partners. The Chinese side has upheld a friendly policy towards Moldova for long and respected the Moldovan people's independent choice of a development path that suits the national conditions. The CPC attaches importance to its friendly relations with the PSRM and is willing to strengthen exchanges at all levels between the two sides, deepen strategic communication and concept exchanges, continue to firmly support each other on issues involving respective core interests and major concerns, promote practical cooperation in various fields through inter-party channels, and promote bilateral relations for long-term, healthy and stable development.  

Liu said, the world today is full of turmoil and challenges of all kinds. No matter how the international situation changes, China will keep its domestic and foreign policies consistent and stable. China will continue to firmly pursue an independent and peaceful foreign policy, advance the noble cause of building a great country and national rejuvenation on all fronts through a Chinese path to modernization, and share opportunities with other countries while pursuing its own development to achieve common development. The Chinese side is willing to strengthen coordination and cooperation with the Moldovan side on international and regional affairs and make the international political and economic order more just and equitable. 

Batrincea said, the world is turbulent and full of uncertainties. China has succeeded in economic and social development and set an example for us. The PSRM regards the CPC as a good friend and partner, and hopes to comprehensively strengthen the friendly relations between the two Parties and promote exchanges and cooperation in economy, trade, culture, healthcare, and local affairs through inter-party channels. The Moldovan side appreciates the important concepts such as a community with a shared future for mankind proposed by President Xi Jinping, and positively evaluates the wisdom and strength contributed by China to solving hotspot issues and promoting world peace and development. It expects China to play a greater role in regional and international affairs. 

The two sides also had an in-depth exchange of views on international and regional issues such as the Ukraine crisis. 

After the meeting, Liu and Batrincea jointly signed a memorandum of exchanges and cooperation between the two Parties.
