Beijing, March 4th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today on the morning with a delegation led by Sujata Koirala, leader of Nepali Congress Party (NCP), Nepal's former Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. 

Sun said, this year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Nepal. Over the past 70 years, the two countries have always lived with each other in amity, supported each other, and adhered to mutual benefit and win-win results. The Chinese side appreciates the long-term commitment of the NCP and the Koirala family to promoting China-Nepal friendship and upholding the correct position on issues related to Xizang and the Taiwan question. The CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges and interactions with the NCP and other major political parties in Nepal, implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and the important agreements signed by the two sides, carry forward the traditional friendship, advance the high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and contribute to the deepening of China-Nepal cooperation. 

Sujata said, Nepal and China are good neighbors and good friends with our true friendship standing out in time of adversity. Nepal attaches great importance to developing relations with China, firmly supports the one-China principle, and thanks the Chinese side for its long-term important support and assistance for Nepal's economic and social development. The NCP admires the great achievements of the CPC in leading the Chinese people to realize modernization, and looks forward to taking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and China as an opportunity to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning between the two Parties, promote pragmatic cooperation in various fields such as agriculture, culture, tourism, infrastructure, economy and trade, and push the relationship between the two countries to a new level.
