Northeast China, consisting of Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning provinces, and eastern Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, spans millions of square kilometers and carries the dreams and glory of China's industrialization. It is the cradle of industry for the People's Republic of China (PRC), and is also affectionately known as the eldest son of the PRC.
Today, Northeast China is becoming a promising land for full revitalization, attracting the world's attention.
On October 14th, the "Stories of CPC – Achievements of Northeast China in Practicing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era" thematic briefing was held in Changchun, Jilin Province. It was co-hosted by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, the CPC Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional Committee, the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee, the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee, and the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee. More than 200 political party leaders from over 50 countries, some foreign diplomats in China, and representatives from foreign business communities in China were present to learn about China's practical experience, and then visited the three provinces and the autonomous region to personally experience the transformation taken place on this land.
The foreign guests wanted to bring back Northeast China's experience in developing the tourism industry to their own countries.
Foreign guests were highly impressed by northeast China's practice of turning its ice and snow resources into a robust economy.
Serik Yerubayev, Vice-Chairman of "Ak Zhol" Democratic Party of Kazakhstan, member of the Mazhilis of Kazakhstan, was deeply impressed by the rapid development of Northeast China's ice and snow economy during the briefing. Strolling through the Dream Ice and Snow Museum of the Harbin Ice-Snow World, he enjoyed the beautiful ice sculptures. He said the development of the ice and snow economy offers good reference to Kazakhstan, and he will bring back the valuable experience to his country.
On October 18th, foreign guests from Kazakhstan visited the Harbin Ice-Snow World in Heilongjiang Province, China.
Besides ice and snow tourism, the cultural and tourism industry in Northeast China is brimming with new vitality in many other aspects. The foreign guests experienced Korean ethnic culture and paddy field culture in Guangdong Village, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture of Jilin Province. They appreciated the red walls, green tiles, and golden leaves in Shenyang Imperial Palace in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. And they learnt about the diverse culture of various ethnic groups in the Inner Mongolia Museum in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
During his visit to the Shenyang Imperial Palace, Prakash Bista, chair of Rapti Rural Municipality, of Lumbini Province, Nepal, listened attentively to the interpretation while taking photos of the ancient architecture. He said the vitality and rich experiences of cultural tourism in Northeast China are impressive. He will bring back these experiences to Nepal and promote the cultural and tourism cooperation between the two countries.
The foreign guests saw the unique and innovative development path.
In recent years, Northeast China has been accelerating its transformation towards the high-end, intelligent, and green development of traditional industries, while seeing rapid rising of emerging industries. The development of both the conventional and new industries riveted the attention of foreign guests.
In Changchun, Jilin, foreign guests visited CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd., Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd., China FAW Group Co., Ltd.(FAW), and other places. At FAW, they learned about the story of the first domestically produced vehicle Jiefang (Liberation) 68 years ago, witnessed the development of the new energy vehicles Hongqi(Red Flag) today, as well as saw the automated robotic production lines.
On October 14th, foreign guests visited the FAW Hongqi Culture Exhibition Hall in Changchun city, Jilin Province.
Vladimir Pavlovich Isakov, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lenin Communist Youth League, and Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy, said, he was amazed by the new achievements China has made in the field of innovation. In Changchun, a city known as the cradle of China's automotive industry, he saw a unique and innovative development landscape, and the continuous progress in aerospace and other hi-tech sectors.
At Siasun Robot & Automation Co., Ltd. in Hunnan district, Shenyang city, Liaoning Province, foreign guests were full of praise for the advanced robot products. Haruko Yoneyama, Executive Director of the Japan Science and Technology Agency Beijing Office, said, in the face of the common challenge of aging populations, robots will be more widely used in elderly care and medical fields in the future, presenting broad prospects for cooperation between Japanese and Chinese companies.
In Hohhot of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Dairy Capital of China, digital and intelligent technologies have penetrated the entire dairy industry chain. Flexible robotic arms neatly moved boxes of milk from production lines, while automated equipment such as self-driving vehicles and elevated conveyor belts work in close coordination, attracting foreign guests to stop and watch.
On October 15th, Serbian guests visited a milk production line in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
In M-Grass Ecology and Environment (Group) Co., Ltd., the seeds of Hedysarum scoparium arranged in neat coils caught every one's attention. Upon learning that the ropes can be used for ecological restoration and can be naturally degraded, Sinisa Maksimovic, President of SPS Rasinski district board and SPS Krusevac city boardSinisa Maksimovic, Chairman of the Committee of Socialist Party of Serbia in the Rasina District and the Krusevac City, marveled that it was his first time to learn about this method, and he found it so interesting. He would share China's experience in ecological restoration and germplasm resource conservation in his country.
A Russian guest expressed respect for the hardworking people of Northeast China.
In the past, the predecessors who ventured into Northeast China developed the region under harsh conditions. Today, people in Northeast China are working hard toward the goal of full revitalization of the region, greatly inspiring the foreign guests. The development of Northeast China is a microcosm of China's overall development, demonstrating comprehensive and integrated progress, said Vladimir Pavlovich Isakov. He shared the deep impression left by Jilin from modern agriculture to high-tech industries. He wanted to salute the hardworking people of Northeast China. It is them who have created these achievements with their own hands.
Azat Peruashev, Chairman of the Ak Zhol Democratic Party of Kazakhstan, and Chairman of the party caucus of the Mazhilis of Kazakhstan, called the CPC a great political party worth learning from. He was deeply touched by the vivid stories of the full revitalization of Northeast China shared by Party members and local people. He said, the CPC's efforts in promoting the full revitalization of Northeast China indicate that a political party should lead the people toward a better life.
On October 16th, Nepalese guests visited Shenyang Imperial Palace.
Guided by the new development philosophy of innovative, coordinated, green, open, and shared development, the people of Northeast China have been working hard to push the full revitalization of their hometown, which is brimming with vigorous development vitality and boasts broad development prospects.
Haitham Abdel Hady, deputy chief of mission of the Embassy of Egypt in China and Political Affairs Counselor, was impressed by the exchanges with local officials at the briefing. He found the Northeast China region has many similarities with Egypt, including similar geographical area and population. He hoped to further deepen his understanding of how Northeast China achieves common revitalization in regional coordinated development in the future.
Chinese modernization is rooted in its national conditions, and China's development is based on the hard work of the Chinese people, said Muhammad Hasanein Khaddam, Ambassador of Syria to China. He highlighted the innovative spirit of the Chinese people, and said the Chinese people are good at fully utilizing their own resources to achieve sustainable development.
Hussam Al Husseini, Jordan's Ambassador to China, shared his firsthand experience as the Ambassador to China. He said since he came to China, he had witnessed the remarkable achievements made by the people under the leadership of the CPC in various fields. The CPC is committed to improving people's living standards and building a better country. And the full revitalization of Northeast China is a vivid example. China's achievements not only benefit its own people, but also influence the whole world.
